I had an amazing time at Luz En El Cielo Eco-B&B/Hostel. The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the heart of Montezuma and the beach. I stayed in a bungalow with a garden view, and it felt like being in the jungle, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Watching the monkeys swing in the trees right from my room was a delightful experience! The pool was a refreshing spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast included was a highlight. it featured delicious fresh fruit and hearty options. The staff, including Johnny and Harold, were incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations for local activities. However, the trek up to the bungalow involved a steep climb, which can be a challenge for some. Additionally, the mattress could use improvement for a more comfortable night's sleep.

clean pool, ample drying area, beautiful balcony area
the trek up the hill was more of a workout than I expected!!! the communication regarding tours needs serious improvement to avoid unnecessary chaos!!! also, I found the dormitory rooms to be too cramped!!!

i was almost ready to rave about this place, but then the pool was hilariously murky, and the receptionist gave me wrong info about a tour, stressing me out. for such an 'eco' place, one would expect proper maintenance and service. i should have been pampered at least a little, but apparently that's too much to ask.

The bungalow offered a unique experience of watching monkeys swing by in the trees, creating a lively atmosphere and connection with nature. The huge shower provided a refreshing escape from the heat, making the numerous daily showers quite enjoyable.
Reaching the bungalow included a trek up steep narrow steps, which could be a pain if you're not used to it. Additionally, the mattress left much to be desired in terms of comfort, and there were issues with sticky folding doors that made accessing the outside a hassle.

great service but minor privacy issue
The owner was incredibly helpful! He made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The atmosphere was relaxing with a lovely garden view that added to the pleasant ambiance. The common areas were perfect for chilling, with a nice pool available day or night.
The 6-bed room lacked a bit of privacy due to the door being less sturdy.
